What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is maintaining a present moment awareness of thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, as well as the surrounding environment with openness and curiosity.
Research indicates many benefits including reduction in stress, and improvements in job satisfaction, emotional regulation, and focus.
Mindfulness is a state of being, a trait, and a practice.
What is Meditation?
Meditation is a practice of using a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
It calms “Monkey Mind” – that state where thoughts lead instead of centeredness.
What is Yoga?
Yoga is developmental practices to train the body and mind to self-observe and become aware of our own nature.
The purpose of yoga is to cultivate discernment, awareness, self-regulation and higher consciousness in the individual.
At its broadest, yoga, from the root word “yuj” in Sanskrit, means to unite.
